2024 CONCACAF W GOLD CUP USA vs Brazil

Miami, FL (Wednesday, March 6, 2024) – concacaf has confirmed that the United States and Brazil will face off in the 2024 Concacaf W Gold Cup Final on March 10 at San Diego’s Snapdragon Stadium.

Sunday’s Final will crown the first-ever Concacaf W Gold Cup champion, culminating almost five years of unprecedented growth for the women’s game in our region. Since launching its Concacaf W strategy in 2019, which includes hosting elite football tournaments such as the Concacaf W Championship and the Concacaf W Gold Cup and their respective qualifying competitions, the Confederation has been working to prioritize the growth of women’s football, providing all teams a platform to compete to reach their next level.

The 2024 Concacaf W Gold Cup Semifinals were also played at Snapdragon Stadium, on March 6. In the first match of the day, Brazil advanced to the Final after a victory over Mexico. Goals from Adriana Leal and Antonia in the first half and a sensational backheel from Yasmim in the second half gave the South Americans a 3-0 victory.

The United States qualified for the Final following a 3-1 penalty shootout win versus Canada. The two sides were even 1-1 after 90 minutes and then 2-2 following extra time, resulting in penalty kicks during which USA GK Alyssa Naeher made three saves to clinch a spot in the Final.
