Mix and Ronald, called for National Team
New York City FC announced midfielder Mix Diskerud has been selected to represent the US Men’s National Team. Mix will hope to compete in two World Cup Qualifying matches, both matches are against Guatemala. The first match is on March 25 at 10pm ET (beIN Sport) and the second match is on March 29 at 7pm ET (ESPN 2, UniMas).
The midfielder last played for the United States on Feb 5, when USMNT defeated Canada 1-0.
Mix has played three matches this season and has recorded a goal and two assists for the club.
New York City FC defender Ronald Matarrita has been called up to play for the Costa Rican Men’s National Team Matarrita looks to compete in two World Cup Qualifying matches against Jamaica on March 25 at 8pm ET and March 29 at 10pm ET. The defender last played for Costa Rica on Nov. 17 in a 2-1 win against Panama. Matarrita has started and played three matches for NYCFC this season.
