Captain Horace Burrell passed away

The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) mourns the loss of its Council Senior Vice President, Captain Horace Burrell, who passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017.

Captain Burrell’s commitment and vision for the sport contributed to create a strong legacy for the game within the region. With his passion and spirit, he was a tireless supporter of his country’s football development.

Captain Burrell served as President of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) between 1994 and 2003, and from 2007 until his transition today. He also served as a member of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee and a Vice President of the Jamaica Olympic Association.

We offer our deepest condolences to the JFF, the family and friends of Captain Burrell.
