Long Called for USA-Jamaica Friendly
|HARRISON, N.J. – New York Red Bulls defender Aaron Long has been named to U.S. Soccer’s 28-man camp for training ahead of a match against Jamaica on June 5. Long will depart for the camp on Sunday, June 2. The final 23-man Gold Cup roster is due by midnight on June 5, per U.S. Soccer.
Long, 26, captained the USMNT twice during January camp. Long has earned five caps since getting his first call up last Fall.
The Oak Hills, California native signed a new multi-year contract with the Red Bulls in February.
The USMNT faces Jamaica at Audi Field in D.C. on Wednesday, June 5 at 7 p.m. They will also face Venezuela on June 9 in Cincinnati before opening the Gold Cup against Guyana on June 18.
