Cosmos Doubleheader on Setp22
New York (August, 13, 2015) The New York Cosmos announced at the press conference today the club will host a doubleheader on Tuesday 22 at Hofstra University Stuart Stadium. Cosmos will take Ottawa Fury, with the game to be followed by a matchup between Colombia and Mexico legends.
Former Mexican and Colombian national team legends such as Carlos Valderrama, Tino Asprilla, Aldofo El tren, Valencia, Jared Borgetti, Jorge Campos and Luis Hernandez will be among the many stars featured as the Cosmos celebrate Hispanic Heritage Night at Shuart Stadium.
The legendary Valderrama is the most capped player in Colombian history, he has earned Copa America MVP and Year of American footballer honors in 1987. He was named the FIFA 100IN 2004 a list of the greatest living footballers chosen by Pele to celebrate the 100th anniversary of FIFA.
The Cosmos game against Fury FC will be moved from 7:30 to 7:00 p.m. ET to accommodate the doubleheader.
