New York Red Bulls highlights

New York Red Bulls after long week of great events their community involvements lead in season-opener against Toronto.

Red Bulls players were on hand to greet 2016 Red Members and hand out the 2016 exclusive Red Member jacket four nights last week.

Over 500 tickets were given out through Kicks for Kids for the Red Bull’s home opener. The Kicks for Kids programs assist Major League Soccer teams with reaching out to various local charities that serve at-risk and disadvantaged children. Tickets are donated to local children’s charities so that they can experience all the fun of a match at Red Bull Arena.

The Red Bull’s hosted a food drive for the Community FoodBank of New Jersey during the home opener. The Community FoodBank of New Jersey is the state’s largest anti-hunger and anti-poverty organization. Close to 1,500 pounds of food were donated and distributed to those in need.

Goalkeeper Ryan Meara visited several of the Red Bulls pub partners to deliver autographed jerseys leading up to first kick.

Daniel DePaul, a nine year old fan battling Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), a highly aggressive and difficult to treat brain tumors, was able to watch Sunday’s home opener.

After a busy week the Red Bulls are playing away against the Montreal Impact on Saturday at 4 p.m.
