TSN becomes Canada’s Partner for the CONCACAF Gold Cup and Scotiabank
|The CONCACAF announced that TSN in a multi-year agreement naming TSN the official rights partner for the CONCACAF Gold Cup and the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League. The deal makes TSN the exclusive Canadian broadcaster for the region’s most important national team and club team championships, beginning with this summer’s Gold Cup.
“With their coast-to-coast reach and an emphasis across platforms on marquee sporting events like the Gold Cup and the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League, TSN is an ideal partner for our Confederation in the important Canadian market,” said Victor Montagliani, CONCACAF President. “We have seen some great performances over the years from Canadian teams in both the Gold Cup and the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League, so we’re pleased that TSN will be bringing all the action to the growing Canadian audience for years to come.”

TSN network’s Canada-wide coverage of this year’s Gold Cup kicks off July 7 with Canada vs. French Guiana at 7 p.m. The Canadian men’s national soccer team captured the nation’s first CONCACAF Gold Cup title in 2000, and TSN will follow the team this summer as they compete against a field that features perennial soccer powers Mexico, Costa Rica, and host nation USA. TSN’s live coverage culminates with both semifinal matchups and the CONCACAF Gold Cup Final on July 26, live from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
