Andrea Bargnani led the team defeat Turkey
The Nets, proudly to present Andrea Bargnani, for the first time after four years, he is playing for his country Italy and supports his national team at the FIBA Europe.
At EuroBasket contest the veteran Bargnani, gave great ability to support his club, and in the second half as he played a small lineup. He added 18-points, 8-13 shooting, including 1-3 deep. Bargnani led the club of 18 points against Turkey.
He was hurt with ankle before to start EuroBasket contest, but he managed to play well, getting adjusted to teaming with Italy’s three other NBA vets , Marco Belinelli, Danilo Gallinari and Luigi Datome. He says he’s already training at an NBA level.
Against Spain, with Pau Gasol, Italy loss. Gasol got his points, 34 in all, and Chicago teammate Nikola Mirotic, broke double figures, with 13 points.
Sources reported, “It ‘was a very important match,” said Bargnani. “We all played well. Everyone did his job with great confidence. That additional pressure was frustration because we played badly vs. Turkey. But today we played at 100% and we managed to win. We are happy but we have to erase everything and think about tomorrow’s game against Germany.”
Andrea 29 years-old is extremely excited to be the Brooklyn Nets season.
