Brazil is World largest festival

Thousands of people are gathered to attend in an celebration of Brazilian culture in the Midtown Manhattan on Sunday, Sept. 2 for the 33rd annual New York City Brazilian Day.

World’s largest Brazilian festival outside of Brazil and is expected to draw attendees from around the world, organizers said. The festival will feature performances from popular Brazilian musicians such as MC Koringa, Dennis, Toni Garrido, Matheus e Kauam and Paralamas do Sucesso, announced.

The festival is expected to start around 10 p.m. and end around 6 p.m. and will be held in an area called Little Brazil on 46th Street between Madison and Sixth Avenues. Brazilian Day events will also be held along Sixth Avenue from West 42nd to 56th Streets.

The easiest way to get to the celebration will be by public transit. The Bryant Park E, B, D, F, M and 7 stations are located right next to the celebration and the 49th Street N, R, Q and Grand Central Terminal are also just blocks away.

Driving to the fesitival will be the NYPD safty department and anti-terrorists, and following streets were closed between 10 a.m. – 7 p.m on 6th Avenue on 42nd Street and 56th Street true 46 Street between Madison Avenue and 6th Avenue.
