The United States basketball pulled out a 98-88 victory.
Amazing saving and struggling toke big effort in fourth-quarter from Carmelo Anthony and Kyrie Irving to put the U.S. over the top.
Melo scored game-high 31 points including nine 3-pointer, while Kyrie added 19 points and five assists at the fourth quarter to lead the U.S. men’s basketball team to a 98-88 win over Australia.
It was a tough game that was closer than the final score indicates Anthony, who became Team USA’s all-time leader in points scored at the Olympics in the game, was lauded by his peers for his clutch efforts.
