Chevy Chase has checked back into rehab!

The 72-year-old comedian actor Chavy Chase is being treated at Hazelden Addiction Treatment Center in Minnesota, his rep told to sources.

Chavy is receiving treatment for an alcohol-related issue, which his rep called a “tune-up.”

Chase having difficulty for very long time, and many treatments. In 1986, at age 43, he checked into the Betty Ford drug rehabilitation center for a painkiller addiction.  At the time, Chase’s publicist said the actor had developed a “dependency on prescription drugs relating to chronic and long-term back problems” incurred during his time as a cast member on NBC’s Saturday Night Live.

During 2006, Chase wrote an op-ed for The New York Times as a tribute to the late President Gerald Ford. Though he’d impersonated and mocked the commander-in-chief for years on Saturday Night Live, Chase felt a great sense of gratitude towards his wife, former First Lady Betty Ford.

If it hadn’t been for the courage of Mr. Ford’s wife, Betty, for admitting to an alcohol problem, I would never have received the help I needed in the early 1980s at the Betty Ford clinic, located not far from the Ford residence near Palm Springs,” he wrote of voluntarily seeking help 20 years prior. “During my short stay there, I often saw Mrs. Ford personally surveying the clinic and generously offering a helping hand to those who were lucky enough to face their problems and, with the learned help of the clinic staff, appraise their behavior and their lifestyles.”

After four years later, Chase told again via sources, about his addiction issues “I never shot things up or freebased,” keeping other details to a minimum. “I was pretty low-level when it came to drug abuse. I checked myself into the Betty Ford Clinic after my nose started to hurt.”
Hope he feels better!! Stay Strong.
