Concacaf confirms September schedule for 2024/25 Concacaf Nations League

Miami, FL (Thursday, August 8, 2024) – Concacaf has confirmed the schedule, host venues, and kickoff times for the 2024/25 Concacaf Nations League (CNL) Group Stage matches that will be played during the September 2024 FIFA Match Window.

The fourth edition of the CNL continues to feature the region’s 41 men’s national teams divided into three leagues (A, B, and C), with the teams distributed into the Leagues according to the results of the preceding edition (2023/24).

Matches for all three Leagues will be played across three upcoming men’s FIFA Match Windows (September, October, and November 2024), followed by the Concacaf Nations League Finals (CNLF) in March of 2025.

The previous edition of the CNL, which took place in the fall of 2023 and March 2024, concluded with an exciting final at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, TX. More than 59,000 fans watched the United States beat Mexico 2-0 to claim their third straight CNL crown. In the Third-Place Match, Jamaica clinched a 1-0 victory over Panama, making history as the first Caribbean team to secure a podium finish in the tournament.

League A: 16 teams (Group Stage and Quarterfinals)

League A includes 16 teams and a Quarterfinal round. For Group Stage play, the 12 lowest-ranked League A national teams (based on the Concacaf Rankings) have been split into two groups of six teams each and will play in a “Swiss style” league system, with each team playing a total of four games (two at home and two away).

The League A groups are as follows:

Group A: Costa Rica, Guatemala, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Suriname, and Guyana
Group B: Jamaica, Honduras, Trinidad and Tobago, Cuba, Nicaragua, and French Guiana

After Group Stage play in September and October, the first and second-place finishers of each group (four teams in total) will advance to the Quarterfinals, where they will join the four top-ranked League A teams (Mexico, United States, Panama, and Canada).

The Quarterfinal pairings will be as follows:

QF: Best-ranked seeded team (Mexico) vs Next second place (2A/2B)
QF: Second-ranked seeded team (United States) vs Best second place (2A/2B)
QF: Third-ranked seeded team (Panama) vs Next first place (1A/1B)
QF: Fourth-ranked seeded team (Canada) vs Best first place (1A/1B)

The Quarterfinals will be played in November, in a home-and-away format, with the aggregate score winner in each matchup advancing to the 2025 Concacaf Nations League Finals.

League B: 16 Teams (Group Stage)

League B features 16 teams divided into four groups of four teams. During the FIFA Match Windows of September, October, and November, each team will play every team in its group twice, for a total of six matches per team.

The League B groups are as follows:

Group A: El Salvador, Montserrat, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Bonaire
Group B: Curacao, Saint Lucia, Grenada, and Saint Martin
Group C: Haiti, Puerto Rico, Aruba, and Sint Maarten
Group D: Dominican Republic, Bermuda, Antigua and Barbuda, and Dominica

For each FIFA Window, matches will be played at a centralized venue per group instead of the previous home-and-away format. This format change alleviates some of the travel challenges that Member Associations face due to our region’s unique geography and allows them to focus on delivering the best possible football.

The third-best-ranked teams in each group will host the September matches, the second-best-ranked teams will host the October matches, and the best-ranked teams will host the decisive November matches. If a team was unable or declined to host matches, Concacaf has selected an alternative venue.

The confirmed host venues for the September matches are as follows:

Group A: Stadion Antonio Trenidat, Rincon, Bonaire
Group B: Kirani James Athletics Stadium, St. George’s, Grenada
Group C: Estadio Centroamericano, Mayagüez, Puerto Rico
Group D: ABFA Technical Center, St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda

League C: 9 Teams (Group Stage)

League C includes nine teams divided into three groups of three teams. During the FIFA Match Windows of September and October, each team will play every team in its group twice, for a total of four matches per team.

The League C groups are as follows:

Group A: Barbados, Bahamas, and US Virgin Islands
Group B: Belize, Turks and Caicos Islands, and Anguilla
Group C: Saint Kitts and Nevis, Cayman Islands, and British Virgin Islands

Similar to League B, matches in each group will be played at a centralized venue. The confirmed host venues for the September matches are as follows:

Group A: Bethlehem Soccer Complex, Christiansted, US Virgin Islands
Group B: TCIFA National Academy, Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands
Group C: Truman Bodden Sports Complex, George Town, Caymans Islands
