CONCACAF Disciplinary Committee Regarding CF Pachuca

The Confederation of North, Central America and the Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) announced its Disciplinary Committee has fined CF Pachuca (MEX) an undisclosed amount, for incidents that occurred during the 2016/17 Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League Final, played on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Estadio Hidalgo, in Pachuca, Mexico.

After due examination of the case, which included improper conduct by CF Pachuca spectators, the use of smoke bombs and projectile throwing toward players and officials, the Committee considers and agrees that CF Pachuca is responsible for the conduct of its spectators, in accordance with art. 67 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code.

The Committee also considers that the abovementioned incidents caused by spectators are cases of recidivism due to lack of security.
