Costa Rican international has been named to MLS Team of the Week
MLS soccer today has announced the “24 Under 24” list, their annual ranking of the top young players (under 24) and explorations into the latest in youth development in MLS, the United States, and Canada.
At 22nd, goes to Ronald Matarrita is arguably among the best left backs in MLS. The Costa Rican international has been named to MLS Team of the Week four times so far in 2016, his first in the league.
During his four years at Alajuelense, Matarrita established himself as a regular with the Costa Rican national team. At NYCFC, he’s helped stabilize the left side of defense and bombs forward in the attack.
