The 33-year-old was unveiled in his new Juve kit by EA Sports. Cristiano Ronaldo said he is not obsessed with winning the Champions League but acknowledged he joined Juventus partly to help them claim the title for the first time in more than two decades.

Ronaldo has won the competition five times, including in each of the last three seasons with Real Madrid, and while Juve have reached the final twice in the last four years, they have not won it since 1996.

The Portuguese phenomenon shocked the footballing world by opting to leave the Spanish capital this summer.

Ronaldo hinted he may be set to leave Madrid after the Champions League final, and earlier this month, the attacker confirmed his move after Portugal’s World Cup exit.

And speaking at his official unveiling in Turin this evening, the 33-year-old confirmed why he decided to leave the Bernabeu after nine years.

“I’m happy, motivated, and I want to prove in Italy that I’m a top player,” he told reporters: “”I don’t have anything to prove, the numbers speak for themselves, but I don’t want to get into a comfort zone, I was at Manchester United, Real Madrid, and now I’m ready for a new challenge.”

Ronaldo also praised Juventus, calling them the ‘best club in Italy’. “It’s one of the best clubs in the world,” he added source told.
