Dolly Parton

Dolly Parton is more than just a legendary singer. She is a singer-songwriter, actress, author, businesswoman, and humanitarian, known primarily for her work in country music.

Dolly, whose first song charted in 1964, holds multiple records: most No. 1 hits for a female artist, most career Top 10 country albums for a female artist, and she’s tied with Beyoncé for most Grammy nominations for a female artist. Dolly who also happens to be Miley Cyrus’ godmother, no wonder why Miley has grown up from celeb child.

Although she hasn’t had a fresh musical hit in ages, Dolly remains the most-honored female country artist of all time: If there was a Mount Rushmore of female country music, her famously surgically enhanced image would be on it. In December 2015, NBC will air “Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors,” a holiday movie based on Dolly’s remarkable upbringing in rural Tennessee.

Her life is blessed, and she has reviled to People “I always put on a little makeup,” she says. “I never know who’s going come to my door. But if I’m in L.A., I put on full makeup in case an earthquake comes and I have to run out into the streets. I want to be able to say, ‘Yeah, my house fell down, but don’t I look good”
