Exclusive interview with Sebastian Guenzatti professional soccer player for NASL New York Cosmos.

Describe how is the feeling to be part of NY Cosmos!….   Cosmos, is an amazing family with a lot of hard and hard work, it was a pleasure for me these 4 years to work with friends that always push each other to do better even tho we where fighting for the same spot and that was our secret these 4 years.

Achievments with club and yourself!….  With the Cosmos I wone 3 championships I was named the Best Young Player by the fans and last year they named me there Favorite Player which means a lot to me, and I have a lot of respect for the NY Cosmos fans. I think playing with legends like Raul, Senna, Juan Arango and others I don’t wanna forget is an amazing achievement as well.

Injury!…..  My rehab is going well hopefully by July, august i will be back on the field so counting the days… I am strong-minded.

Your future goals!…..  One of my new goals is to get back on the field and like again always leave everything on the pitch.

Bio: Sebastián Guenzatti is a 5-foot-10 attacker from Montevideo, Uruguay. Guenzatti moved to the United States at age 12 and settled in Fresh Meadows, N.Y.  Guenzatti first signed with the New York Cosmos on July 5, 2013, and made his Cosmos debut on Aug. 10 in a scoreless draw against Tampa Bay, playing 86 minutes. On Dec. 3, 2015, the Cosmos announced that they had signed Guenzatti to a contract extension.

About New York Cosmos: Cosmos are reigning champions of the NASL, having won their second consecutive NASL Championship and eighth overall on Nov. 13, 2016, with a 4-2 win on penalties over the Indy Eleven in The Championship Final.

The Cosmos began play in 1971, spending 14 seasons in the NASL, winning five league championships. During this time, the club brought some of the biggest names in world soccer to the USA including Pelé, Franz Beckenbauer, Giorgio Chinaglia and Carlos Alberto.

The Cosmos returned to NASL competition on Aug. 3, 2013, winning the championship in their first season back in the league. Raúl and Marcos Senna, legends at famed Spanish sides Real Madrid and Villarreal CF, each suited up in Cosmos colors for modern era championship runs, adding their names to the impressive list of global soccer stars who played with the club.
