Goce Sedloski is one of the most recognizable names in the history of Macedonian football. As a footballer, the former national team captain made exactly 100 appearances and scored 8 goals for the national team, making him the first Macedonian player to achieve 100 appearances for the national team. Goran Pandev then achieved the same feat, and Aleksandar Trajkovski, who has 98 appearances, is expected to join this club soon.

Sedloski previously had a brief stint in the national team as leading coach. In August 2012, he led the national team as acting coach in a friendly match against Lithuania in Skopje, recording a 1:0 victory.

In his coaching career, Goce Sedloski worked as an assistant and acting coach of Macedonia, and at the club level he led Horizont, Vardar, Riga (Latvia), Široki Brijeg (Bosnia and Herzegovina), the second team of Dinamo (Croatia), Shkupi, Vlaznia (Albania) and Rabotnichki.

In his coaching career so far, he has won 3 championship titles in the domestic league, with Vardar in the 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 seasons and with Shkupi in the 2021/2022 season, as well as one Cup title with Vardar in the 2024/2025 season.

As a player, he had a rich career playing for several clubs in Macedonia and abroad. He began his professional steps in Bratstvo from Golemo Konjari and Pitu Guli from Krushevo, after which he played for Pobeda from Prilep, where he attracted attention with his performances. He continued his career in Hajduk and Dinamo in Croatia. At the same time, he became the first foreigner to wear the captain’s armband of the giant from Zagreb.

Then he played for Sheffield Wednesday in England. He supplemented his international experience with performances in Vegalta Sendai (Japan), Diyarbakirspor (Turkey) and Mattersburg (Austria), building a respectable football career.

“The Football Federation of Macedonia believes that Goce Sedloski’s experience, authority and deep knowledge of Macedonian football will contribute to the stability, continuity and progress of the national team in the coming period.”
