Home win for NY Cosmos

Hempstead, NY (August,5, 2015) Hunter Freeman in a late longer distance helped lift the team to a 2-1 win over Minnesota United FC Wednesday night at Hofstra’s Stuart Stadium.

Freeman achieved second goal in any games, “it’ was amazing shot, excellent Cosmos head coach Giovanni Savarese said on the press references after the game.

Minnesota United (2-2-2) raced in front in the eight-minute of the Christian Ramirez seventh goal of the season, following shot corner, Kalif Alhassan crossed the ball in front where Daniel Mendes flicked it on the near post. Ramirez crashed back post and tapped in the visitors ahead,1-0.  For NY Cosmos (2-2-1) leaved five minutes later on Walter Restrepo’s third goal of the fall season. Leo Fernandes made a penetrating run before slipping a pass to Andres Flores, who cut a ball back into the box. Restrepo “We felt really confident in establishing opportunities to score, even though they scored a goal early, we felt we have chance to score it back, We were able to do that.”

Cosmos will play their third game in a seven-day span when they toke on the Fort Lauderdale Strikers Saturday’s nigh at Lockhart Stadium.
