Hunter Freeman signs new contract for Cosmos
|Vice Captain Hunter Freeman signs a new deal with the New York Cosmos.
New York (July.29,2015) – The New York Cosmos announced today at the press conference for the new contract defender Hunter Freeman signed an extension with the team.
During the signing new contract with the voce captain of the team, there was no any hesitation for him to sign a new deal, Freeman said.
Freeman, 30, joined Cosmos in February 2013 after playing in more than 120 matches in the Major League Soccer with the Colorado Rapids, New York Red Bulls, Toronto FC and Huston Dynamo. As a professional footballer he spend time overseas playing for IK Start of the Norwegian Tippeligaen in 2009/10.
Freeman became the seventh overall ick in the 2005 MLS Super Draft after a standout career at the University of Virginia where he started 60 matches in 3-years and set a new school record for assists in a season of 21. Also has made numerous appearances for the U.S team at the U-20 and U-23 levels.
“I am focusing of the fall and helping the team try to win some additional silverware” Freeman said.
