Knicks defeat Herd at home

WHITE PLAINS, NY – The Westchester Knicks home defeat visiting Wisconsin Herd of 131-75, Friday night at the Westchester County Center.

The 56-point margin of the victory set a franchise record while it was also marked the first time a team won by 50-plus points since the Raptors 905 dominated Texas, 136-80.

Luke Kornet netted a game-high 25 points on 57.1-percent shooting.  The forward also swished five triples on a 71.4-percent shooting clip. New Orleans Flex Assignee Kenrich Williams notched a double-double comprised of 15 points and 13 rebounds, including three on the offensive glass.

Billy Garrett (17), Gyorgy Goloman (14), Trevon Bluiett (13), Paul Watson (12), Kadeem Allen (11) and Stephen Zimmerman (10) also scored in double-figures.

For Wisconsin, James Young had a team-leading 15 points converting five of his 11 looks from the field. Cinmeon Bowers tabbed 11 points. Mareik Isom grabbed a team-best seven boards on the night.

The Knicks’ shot 56.5-percent from the field while contained the Herd’s shooting performance to just 27.9-percent. Moreover, Westchester drained 46.4-percent of its looks from downtown while Wisconsin connected on just 20.9-percent of its three-pointers.

With only one lead change, the Knicks boasted a 61-point lead evidenced by the 131-70 line at the one-minute mark of the fourth quarter.

Westchester has now won five of its last six games.

The Knicks, continue a five-game homestand and back-to-back, welcoming Wisconsin again tomorrow, Saturday, November 24 at 7 PM.
