LA Galaxy Weekly Schedule: Sept. 10-17, 2018

LOS ANGELES – The LA Galaxy (10-10-8, 38 points) head to Canada to take on Toronto FC (7-14-6, 27 points) at 4:30 p.m. PT on Saturday, Sept. 15 at BMO Field in Toronto. The match will be broadcast live on Spectrum SportsNet and Spectrum Deportes.

Saturday’s contest against Toronto FC will be the first meeting between the two teams this season. Against Toronto, LA is 6-4-6 all-time. The Galaxy are 1-2-4 in road games against Toronto FC. They have not played in Toronto since the 2016 season, which ended in a 1-0 loss.

The #Zlatan500 watch remains in effect. Ibrahimović is just one goal shy of 500 goals for club and country, a feat achieved only by two active players in world soccer: Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

The Galaxy are currently 8th in the MLS Western Conference standings, with 38 points. After facing Toronto FC, they’ll take on Sporting KC and Minnesota United FC in their final two road games of the 2018 regular season. The LA Galaxy also have three remaining home games, in which they’ll host Seattle Sounders FC, Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Houston Dynamo.

Yesterday, the LA Galaxy announced that Sigi Schmid has stepped down from his position as LA Galaxy Head Coach. Dominic Kinnear has been named the Galaxy’s Interim Head Coach, effective immediately.
