It marks the day in 1991 when the country held a referendum in which the majority of citizens voted in favor of independence from the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.

International recognition: The process took some time, and due to naming disputes with Greece, the country was admitted to the United Nations in 1993 under the provisional reference “the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM)”.

Current name: In 2019, after the Prespa Agreement, the country officially changed its name to Republic of North Macedonia.

As part of presenting her gallery to the public, ITA TC Artist used the Macedonian flag and a traditional Macedonian hat as symbolic elements. These cultural symbols reflect pride, identity, and independence, reinforcing the spirit of today’s celebration and the themes expressed in her new collection of paintings.

Her art gallery is open in two different locations in Lodi Memorial Public Library and Leonia Public Library in New Jersey entire month of September.
