Malliotakis Calls on Speaker Pelosi for Release of Remaining $130 Billion of Paycheck Protection Program Funds
|New York, N.Y — Congresswoman-elect Nicole Malliotakis today released at letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in which she stated, “I cannot remain silent while the constituents of the 11th District of New York continue to suffer due to the actions, and inactions, of you and the majority. The Covid-19 pandemic has placed unimaginable hardships on families, small businesses and restaurants, across this great nation, but in Staten Island and Brooklyn we have been unable to begin the recovery process due to arbitrary local restrictions, additional closures, and expired PPP funding. That is why I respectfully ask you to bring the bipartisan bill to the floor that would provide $130 billion in remaining Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) funds specifically to small businesses and restaurants.”
Copies of the letter dated December 14th, 2020 were also sent to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio of New York City.
This week she finally admitted she let millions of Americans and small businesses suffer on purpose and it’s shameful. Let’s get the package passed and aid distributed ASAP. Let’s also never forget that she did this. @BlueBoxDave (2/2) https://t.co/9DXh1FsO3w
