Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia (June 18, 2025) — FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ presented Manchester City vs Wydad AC with victory 2-0 on Wednesday afternoon with a crowd of 37,446 fans attending from Morroco, Manchester England and others.
Phil Foden’s second-minute strike sparked Manchester City’s 2-0 victory over Morocco’s Wydad AC in the Club World Cup opener for both teams on Wednesday in Philadelphia.
The Premier League powerhouse added a goal by Jeremy Doku in the 42nd minute off a corner kick from Foden.

Wydad’s most notable name was debutant Nordin Amrabat his team-mates had glimmers of hope on the break, but they were unable to breach Ederson’s goal.

The City right-back cleared the ball before contact, and what happened next was an accident, but his boot did connect with Obeng. A booking would probably have done, though.
Man City will face Al Ain on Sunday in Atlanta, while Wydad will remain in Philadelphia to face Juventus on Sunday.
