Nuggets playoffs approach
|NBA is back so it’s Denver’ Nuggets and head coach Michael Malone of the Denver Nuggets works said to the press the eight seeding games, beginning Aug. 1 vs. Miami, don’t matter.
That’s because his team is already safely in the playoffs, and having homecourt advantage this year is irrelevant. The Nuggets can realistically finish anywhere from the No. 2 to the No. 6 seed, and all that matters is the ensuing matchup.
“We don’t have to go 8-0 in these seeding games,” he said Friday, a day before Denver’s second scrimmage. “We have to use our time to make sure we’re not overloading our guys, we’re not getting guys injured, while creating chemistry and continuity on the court.”
