NY Liberty fell over LA Sparks

Despite a game-high 25 points from Tina Charles, the New York Liberty (2-3) fell to the Los Angeles Sparks (3-2) on Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden.

Charles scored 19 points in the 1st half, 14 in the opening quarter, as the Liberty took a 38-36 lead into the half. Los Angeles came back to take a 2-point advantage heading into the final period, then opened the 4th on an 11-0 run to take control of the game. Epiphanny Prince finished with 21 points with 5 assists and 4 steals, and Sugar Rodgers netted 13 points on 3-of-5 shooting from 3-point range.  Nneke Ogwumike led the Sparks with 22 points.

The Liberty is back in action at home on Friday night when it hosts the Dallas Wings at The Garden. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 PM.
