NYCFC let go Adam Nemec

NYCFC announced on Monday an agreement of a mutual termination of the contract of Adam Nemec. Adam Nemec (born 2 September 1985) is a Slovak professional football player who plays for Slovakia national team. His career started by playing for MSK Žilina, Nemec became Slovakian champion in 2007 and in the process of it, scored 14 goals. In three seasons at the club Nemec scored 25 goals in 74 league matches.

The Slovakian 29, forward made nine league appearances for the club this season, with his last appearance since January 2015, coming in a substitute’s role in a 2-1 win over Montreal on July 4. Nemec did not score any goals in his time with NYCFC.

“First and foremost, we’d like to thank Adam for his hard work and contributions to New York City FC,” head coach Jason Kreis said in a statement. “We believe this move is best for both Club and player. We all wish him well for the future.”
