NYCFC release six players for International duty

The New York City FC announced six players will spend the coming international break with their national teams for World Cup qualifying matches.

CONCACAF
Rodney Wallace and Ronald Matarrita will join Costa Rica for its matches at Mexico (March 24) and Honduras (March 28). Both players started in Costa Rica’s 4–0 win against the U.S. on Nov 15

Miguel Camargo will join Panama for its match at Trinidad & Tobago and against the U.S. It’s Camargo’s first competitive call-up since the final slate of matches in the semifinal round of qualifying last September.

UEFA
Alexander Ring will join Finland for its qualifier at Turkey (March 24)  and a friendly at Austria (March 28).

Maxime Chanot will be with Luxembourg for its qualifying match against France (March 24). Chanot said he expects to rejoin NYCFC in time for their April 1 match.

Yangel Herrera earned his third consecutive call-up to Venezuela’s senior team for its qualifying matches against Peru and at Chile. He has yet to appear in a competitive match for the national team.

All the players called up will join their teams after New York City’s match against the Montreal Impact on Saturday.
