NY Cosmos vs. Indy Debut

The New York Cosmos on Saturday’s night match (July, 25 2015) at the Michael A. Carroll Stadium, with regular season, draw The Cardiac Cosmos couldn’t pull out a result in Jacksonville last weekend, dropping their first NASL match of the season 1-0 to Armada FC on the road. Today Cosmos bounce back with 6 meetings, and the second 1-1 between the two squads this Fall Season.

Cosmos Wigner Walter Restrepo finished clinically inside the far post following a nice buildup with Spanish legend Raul to give the Cosmos of 0-2-2, 5-7-1 and a lead of 1-0 in the first stoppage time. Walter also scored the equalizer against Indy on July 5th.

The second-later Indy midfielder Dylan Mares chased down a long ball in the box and put in a shot inside the far post from  12-yards-out. After the four minutes to the end Indy defender Erick Norales received straight red cards for a confrontation.

“This is nothing serious, said Savarese, But it’s important we maintain both of them healthy for the matches to come” on the press conference.

Head coach was forced to make tow-substitutions after player Adam Moffatt left with tightness in his calf also Mendes got injured in the hamstring in a two-minute span midway during the half-way.

“I am looking forward for catching up in players to take the opportunity and the chances in other games, and hopefully to others getting back in the shape, and to be back in the top of the table” said Savarese head coach of NY Cosmos.
