“In the end, it was not good enough in our defense all together, and in our intensity, and this is what we have to improve,” Schwarz said.

Felipe Carballo made his MLS debut in tonight’s match.

Serge Ngoma made his return to action after suffering a knee injury. It is his first appearance since April 6, 2024, against FC Cincinnati.

“It’s been a long road for sure but I feel blessed,” Ngoma said. “I’m happy that the coach had the belief to put me in the game. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the result, but it’s great to be back, nonetheless.”

Schwarz was issued a yellow card, forcing him to miss New York’s next match due to yellow card accumulation.

In the first half, forward Mikael Uhre opened the scoring in the fourth minute to put the Union in the lead with his seventh goal of the season. Ten minutes later, Uhre fed forward Tai Baribo who scored his seventh as well.
