RAPPER TURNED CELEBRITY DESIGNER ADONIS KING
Manhattan, NY – A 23 years old musician turned celebrity designer Adonis King is
returning to NYFW to showcase his luxury accessories, custom made evening dresses, swimsuit and
ready to wear collection. The highly anticipated fashion show gracing a glammed up audience of
celebrities, socialites, models and influences will take place on September 7th at Roosevelt Hotel (45
E 45th St. New York).
Adonis King Collection started back in 2008 and has gained its name for making outspoken eye-wear
for celebrities such as Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Alicia Keys, Amber Rose and Shaun Ross.
Inspired by classic shapes with a modern Art Deco twist, King’s unisex eye-wear lines is the next big
fashion accessory brand among the favorites of Hollywood stars.
“I was initially motivated to become a fashion designer by my great mentor, couture designer Michael
Costello. He has pushed me to where I am today”, King says.
With a following of over 100k, Adonis “The King” has since expanded his collection into custom made
gowns, costumes, bridal, swimsuits, backpacks and kids wear. King recently designed a red dress for
Sony Pictures Entertainment’s new film “Miss Bala” starring Gina Rodriguez. Being a powerful
advocate for diversity, the limited AKC Pride Shirt has been seen on fashion icons such as Kendal
Jenner and Alex Chung. Earlier this year King launched his first winter campaign on digital billboard in
Time Square during New York Fashion Week.
