The Teen Choice Awards are an inherently youthful-minded occasion. Guests don’t take themselves too seriously, and unlike other awards shows, the evening’s goal is fun, typically means a red carpet full of grown actors trying to appeal to teenagers by skewing overly young, or young actors trying to grasp on to eye-catching.
Rowan Blanchard star of Disney Channel’s Girl Meets World, dressed in a Miu Miu denim trench belted over a white shirtdress. Blanchard and her stylist, Chris Horan, took their cues from the runway, adding a touch of age-appropriate “cute” via a pair of bejeweled pink heels.
She was a welcome addition, looking chic, comfortable, and perfectly turned out for an occasion that typically provokes sparkles and sequins from attendees. And if you think Blanchard’s foray into serious street fashion front row regular at London Fashion Week shows like Alexander Lewis and Christopher Kane, Blanchard also stars in Carrie Brownstein’s film campaign for Kenzo, alongside Kim Gordon and Laura Harrier.
