Sergey Karasev will not be returning to the Nets

Decision by Brooklyn Nets free agents has been made already.

But according to Vasily Karasev, Sergey’s father and coach of the year in the Russian league, Karasev will not be returning to the Nets next season.

Karasev has had little chance to showcase his skills since being the 19th overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He has appeared in only 93 games in three seasons, partly because he was not in the rotation and also because of injury.

This season has appeared in 40 games for the Nets last season, playing only 399 minutes, scoring 97 points with 58 rebounds and 32 assists. His career is still  fresh, he is only 22-years old, so there is still plenty of time for him to realize his potential,he just needs to find a place that will give him an opportunity to grow, according to his father’s wishes.

Via social media, Karasev is still in city, enjoying the Spring/Summer visiting places of New York City.

Brooklyn Nets has waiving Donald Sloan, Sergey Karasev, Willie Reed and Markel Brown are all set to hit unrestricted free agency. It is fair to say the Nets have differing levels of willingness to re-sign any of those players, as some showed promise last season while others didn’t perform as well as they would have hoped.

Well, last-season I had a great chance to meet Karasev and his wife, both are young couple, Karasev personality is amazing insite and out, his potencial worth more, instead to waste for Brooklyn Nets, he will be better off to play for good team and growing.
