Taylor Swift won the VMA for Best Female Video for her 1989 hit Blank Space.
The singer beat out other fan favorites Nicki Minaj (“Anaconda”), Beyonce (“7/11”), Sia (“Elastic Heart”) and Ellie Goulding (“Love Me Like You Do”). The opulent video, directed by Joseph Khan, starred Swift as a picture-perfect housewife who swiftly goes mad.
