The New York Liberty Season Tipoff
NEW YORK, NY – May 9, 2017 – To tipoff the 2017 WNBA season, the entire New York Liberty organization is fanning out across seven (7) different locations in New York City and New Jersey to #ShowUp for what matters with the 2017 New York Liberty Season Launch presented by Tackle Kids Cancer at Hackensack Meridian Health Hackensack University Medical Center, a partner organization of the Garden of Dreams Foundation.
This large-scale community initiative is the result of every Liberty player identifying an organization or cause that they are passionate about, and heading into the community to directly impact the lives of those across New York City.
In support of this season launch initiative, and to commemorate the opening of the 2017 Liberty WNBA season at Madison Square Garden this Saturday, the Empire State Building will be lit up in Liberty colors on Wednesday night.
