Tommy McNamara impressed the NYCFC
The midfielder Tommy McNamara made huge impact with fast start this season. McNamara has scored two goals for NYCFC, and registered four assist in 10 matches this season.
He was voted Etihad player of the month for March and has been named to MLS team of the week twice this season. Tommy Mac has credited his good start to being healthy and the coaching staff.
“I think I came into preseason healthy and prepared to play and then I think that there has been a lot of work done by the coaching staff and entire playing staff to get us prepared for the start of the season and you know we’ve been successful and positive at times. I think the start to my season is a credit to the coaching staff and playing staff.”
The two goals that McNamara scoredwere both notable, the first was against Chicago and it was the first goal scored in the 2016 MLS season. The second goal that Tommy Mac scored was his first career header in MLS and won him goal of the week.
