GREG VANNEY – HEAD COACH, TORONTO FC…
On the win on the road
“They’re a good and dangerous team. You have to take care of their attacking guys who always create chances and don’t need many chances to score. Winning games in this league on the road is always a challenge and we were able to stick with them for 90 minutes. “
On Giovinco…
“We have a lot of special players, but Seba obviously was big today with the two goals that he got and just the overall performance. As a group, to beat a team like Montreal, you need everybody. You got to have your defenders defending well.”

On reaching milestones…
“The accomplishment that I’m the proudest is the one that nobody really sees, where our group is in terms of our locker room, how they show up to work every day and their intention on wanting to get better and wanting to continue to win. In order to achieve anything, you have to have that culture in your locker room.”

Michael Bradley On winning against Montreal on the road…“Obviously, you get to this time of the year and points are important in every game. The intensity, the tempo and the importance of every game gets cranked up. We’re giving everything to try to win the Supporters Shield and do it as quickly and as dominant as possible. But obviously, games against Montreal always carry a little bit of extra weight, there’s no way around it. I think the rivalry has really grown over the last year and a half or so, when you play big games against them, your rival, with so much on the line. It’s only one way. It’s exciting for the league, for football in North America and Canada. We’ve got two more in this next stretch and who knows, maybe a few more in November.

On getting to 56 points, a club record, this early..
“No, we’re taking it one week at a time, 90 minutes at a time, doing everything we can to block everything else out. Everything that we’ve done, everything that is coming after and just get ourselves ready to leave everything on the field. That’s been key for us and we have a team full of guys who have bought in into that idea and we’re going to continue to do that.”
