UEFA U 21 Euro qualification match Gibraltar vs North Macedonia, loss 0-1

SKOPJE, MACEDONIA (March 21, 2024) – The national team of Macedonia under the age of 21 recorded a minimal victory over the selection of Gibraltar in a match of the qualifiers for the placement of the European Championship that will be held in Slovakia in 2025.

The young footballers achieved their second victory in these qualifications. In the first round of the qualifying cycle, we celebrated a victory over Sweden, on the away field with 1:0.

Macedonia dominated, had the initiative and possession of the ball, the opponent was mainly positioned in their own half, defending their goal. In the first part, we missed several great opportunities through Stankovski, Maksimov and Todorovski. In the continuation, the chosen ones of the selector Dragi Kanatlarovski managed to break the resistance of the opponent. In the 52nd minute, Abazi scored to give Macedonia a 1:0 advantage. In the end, a well-deserved victory for Macedonia.
