United Nations General Assembly (UNGA80) Day 4

United Nations, NYC (September 25, 2015) — UNGA High-Level Week will take place from September 22-26, when leaders from around the world will gather in New York City.

The 80th Anniversary of the founding of the UN is an opportunity to return the organization back to its founding mission of promoting peace and security around the world. This year the United States is prioritizing three themes through our engagement at the United Nations: Peace, Sovereignty, and Liberty.

Significant day during the 80th session of the UN General Assembly High-Level Week. Key events included the Fourth High-level Meeting on Noncommunicable Diseases (NCDs) and the participation of the EU’s President of the European Council in the General Debate and side events. Additionally, various national leaders delivered statements on a range of topics during the General Debate.

European Union: The President of the European Council, António Costa, delivered a statement on behalf of the EU and participated in other meetings during the week, says the Council of the European Union.
