Valentino’s Fall 2016 Couture Show

Valentino’s Fall 2016 Couture Show was presented by Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli their Fall 2016 Haute Couture collection for Valentino in Paris’s stately Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild today.

The duo sent out stunning dresses and suiting in a white and black palette with flashes of that signature Valentino red, not only that favorite starlets sat front row, including Zoë Kravitz, Milla Jovovich, and Alba Rohrwacher.

This season collection was inspired by “the Shakespearean world transformed into an emotional alchemy.” Translation: The strict garments of the Shakespearean era reinterpreted with a modern romance.

The peace of 17th-century was filled with a number of different takes on the ruff, most petite and in optic white. This season Chiuri and Piccioli are famous for their elegant gowns, included a number of trousers, cut slim and paired with riding boots, gowns were elaborately made from leather, taffeta, and chiffon, but seems each show of Vslentino’s has number, with unicorn, bird, and floral prints.

The theme of Shakespearean century continued into the soundtrack, Craig Armstrong’s instrumental version of “Kissing You” from Baz Luhrmann’sRomeo + Juliet played during the second half of the show.

The makeup and hair of the Models it was center parted and wrapped in tiny bits of gold wire for a Renaissance-inspired effect.

Parisian fashion week, Valentino always has an great impression of how to closed a show, with a dramatically oversized crimson cape that the duo designed for La Traviata.
