VP Brian Sabean visits Citi Field this weekend
|During Mets national series this weekend the Giants’ executive VP Brian Sabean and senior advisor Lee Elder have been present at Citi Field this weekend’s Mets-Nat’s series.
According to New York Daily its going just 4-15 against the Nationals last season, the Mets have dropped 16 of their last 18 home games against the Nationals. On Saturday, a Citi Field crowd of 39,730 watched them suffer their first shutout and squander a gem by Niese (2-2).
Current Giants third baseman Casey G.is struggling at the plate, hitting just .164 with one home run. Daniel Murphy, a free agent after this season, is currently playing third base for the Mets while David Wright rehabs his strained right hamstring. The Mets also have young Daniel Murphy a 21- years old will play second.
Dilson Hererra as a second base moved Daniel Murphy to the third base, until David Wright returns after his injury. He started very well for the Triple-A Las Vegas 51s and has played second base. Murphy is probably best suited as a third baseman, at least so long as he’s playing for a National League team.
