Westchester fell the Windy City Bulls

The Westchester Knicks (17-13), the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, took the Windy City Bulls (15-14) to overtime but Fell 97-94, Monday afternoon at Sears Centre.

Two-Way Player Kadeem Allen put together a 5-0 run with 38.6 ticks pictured on the clock, which included a three-pointer off the glass and pullup in the lane, to force the extra session, 87-up.

In overtime, the Bulls went up six within the first 1:36. Allen knocked in another triple and a lay-in that put the Knicks back within three, 95-92, with 14.7 seconds remaining. Working against the clock, the Knicks put the Bulls at the line four times where Windy City converted just two, but empty ensuing Knicks’ possessions froze their comeback.

Jameel Warney posted a season-high 31 points and now has led the Knicks in scoring for four consecutive games. He also tied a game-high 12 rebounds, along with teammate Zak Irvin, and drained a pair of threes. Allen ended with 18 points after going scoreless through the first half of play. He also collected six rebounds and dealt a team-high five assists. Two-Way Player Isaiah Hicks ended with 15 points and seven rebounds.

Walter Lemon Jr. took command of Windy City’s scoring netting 24 points and distributing eight assists. CJ Fair contributed 22 points on 64.3-percent shooting.

The Knicks were up by as many as 12 points while the Bulls largest lead was seven. The Bulls’ victory evens this season’s series with the Knicks, 1-1.
