D.C. United and Special Olympics DC
D.C. United and Special Olympics DC will sign 14 athletes to their Special Olympics Unified team on Friday, June 14.
The D.C. United SODC Unified Soccer Exchange Program is a partnership between Major League Soccer, D.C. United and Special Olympics DC that brings individuals with and without intellectual disabilities together as teammates to participate in unique training, competition and social experiences.
The team will participate in two matches, at home against the Special Olympics Massachusetts Unified Team on July 12 and at Atlanta against Special Olympics Georgia Unified Team on July 21.
