2024 Premier League Hall of Fame
|The Premier League has announced the 15 players that are eligible to be inducted into the 2024 Premier League Hall of Fame. Nemanja Vidic, Cesc Fabregas, Eden Hazard and the 15 players eligible at the Premier League Hall of Fame 2024.
The Premier League has announced the 15 players who can be inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2024, with fans invited to vote for the two players they would like to see included. The list features a variety of legends from years gone by, with Cesc Fabregas, Eden Hazard, and David Silva all now eligible after their respective retirements, along with Manchester United legend Nemanja Vidic and team-mate Gary Neville, as well as iconic journeyman striker Jermain Defoe.
The full list of nominees is as follows: Sol Campbell, Les Ferdinand, David Silva, Michael Carrick, Robbie Fowler, John Terry, Andrew Cole, Eden Hazard, Yaya Toure, Jermain Defoe, Gary Neville, Edwin van der Sar, Cesc Fabregas, Michael Owen, David Silva.
Each inductee to the Hall of Fame receives a personalised medallion, engraved with the year of their induction, as well as a £10,000 donation to a charity of their choice.
The Hall of Fame was founded in 2021 and since then, there have been 21 inductees.
The inaugural inductees were David Beckham, Dennis Bergkamp, Eric Cantona, Thierry Henry, Roy Keane, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard and Alan Shearer.
In 2022, Sergio Agüero, Didier Drogba, Vincent Kompany, Wayne Rooney, Peter Schmeichel, Paul Scholes, Patrick Vieira and Ian Wright were added, and in 2023, the first two managers were inducted: Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger.
In addition to the legendary Manchester United and Arsenal bosses, Tony Adams, Petr Cech and Rio Ferdinand were also voted in, with Ashley Cole joining them on Monday.
Fans can vote for their two choices at http://www.premierleague.com/halloffame and via the official Premier League app. Voting is open until midday on Monday 8 April, with the two inductees to be announced on Monday 22 April.
