Sunderland AFC Confirm Full 2026-27 Pre-Season Schedule — Following the previously announced fixtures in the United States, the Black Cats will also take on York City, RC Lens, and Stade Rennais as Régis Le Bris’ side finalise preparations for the new season.
The Lads will first travel to the LNER Community Stadium on Saturday 18 July to face York City (KO 3pm BST), before embarking on a three-match tour of the USA.
Departing for Nashville, Tennessee, the squad will spend one week in Music City, which will culminate in a showdown against Liverpool at Geodis Park on Saturday 25 July (KO 5pm CDT).
The Black Cats will then head to Harrison, New Jersey, to face Leeds United on Thursday 30 July at the Sports Illustrated Stadium (KO 7.30pm EDT).
Sunderland’s stateside tour will conclude on Sunday 2 August, as the Lads take on Wrexham at Subaru Park in Chester, Pennsylvania (KO 12pm EDT).
Following their return to Wearside, the Black Cats will then travel to France for a double-header against RC Lens on Saturday 8 August.
A Sunderland XI will first face a Lens XI behind closed doors at the Ligue 1 club’s training ground (KO 11am BST), before a different XI takes on the French side later that day at Stade Bollaert-Delelis (KO 4pm BST).
The Club’s final pre-season fixture and only home game of the summer will then see Stade Rennais visit the Stadium of Light on Saturday 15 August (KO 3pm BST), one week before the start of the 2026-27 Premier League season.
