Draw Reveals Groups and Schedule for the 2018 CONCACAF Women’s Under-17 Championship Nicaragua
The regional championship will qualify three teams to the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Uruguay 2018
The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) conducted the draw for the 2018 CONCACAF Women’s Under-17 Championship Nicaragua, at the CONCACAF Headquarters in Miami, FL, USA.
Tournament host Nicaragua was seeded into Group A, and will face Mexico, Puerto Rico and Haiti. Group B seed and defending champion United States, was joined by Costa Rica, Canada and Bermuda.
Managua’s Estadio Nacional is the venue for the sixteen-match competition, which will be played from April 19-29, 2018, and will qualify three teams to FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Uruguay 2018.
The last CONCACAF Women’s Under-17 Championship was played in 2016. The United States captured its record-extending third title by topping Mexico, 2-1, in the final.
