RoadTo26 Scotland defeated Bolivia 4-0
HARRISON, NJ – Scotland’s Men’s National Team delivered a statement performance tonight, defeating Bolivia 4-0 at the Sports Illustrated Stadium in their final international friendly before the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Steve Clarke’s clinical side dismantled the Bolivian defense early, scoring all four goals in a blistering first-half display. The emphatic victory provides a massive confidence boost for the squad just days before they open their World Cup campaign in Boston.
The scoring opened in the 5th minute when striker Lawrence Shankland met an Andy Robertson cross to power home a header. Midfielder Scott McTominay doubled the advantage in the 23rd minute with a fierce strike from the edge of the penalty box. Ché Adams then took center stage, netting a quick-fire brace with goals in the 30th minute and in first-half stoppage time to put the game completely out of reach.
“Tonight was exactly what we needed,” said Scotland Manager Steve Clarke. “The sharpness in the first half was exceptional, and keeping a clean sheet gives the defensive unit great momentum. We are healthy, focused, and ready for Boston.”
Scotland flies to Massachusetts tomorrow morning to finalize preparations for their opening Group C match against Haiti at Gillette Stadium.
