Becky Hammon ready to be coach to lead the NBA. She made the first female coach in the history when she became to coach a NBA Summer League team.
As a coach to watch by leading the win in Spurs on Monday’s nigh, Becky first woman to serve as head coach of a NBA Summer League team with title was an assistant coach on Gregg Popovich team in San Antonio. The Spurs dropped their first summer game to the Knicks, but managed to bounce back after winning with 93-90 over the Phoenix Suns.
According to sources during the press to SI “I’m just thankful that Popovich trusted me with the guys in that locker room, and that those guys trusted me back,” Hammon said.
