Josh Smith released by Pistons
Josh Smith is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association.
He previously played for his hometown Atlanta Hawks, where he spent the first nine seasons of his career.. The Detroit Pistons waived forward Josh Smith, NBA sources announced on Monday.
Pistons coach and President of Basketball Operations Stan Van Gundy said “In fairness to Josh, being a highly versatile 10-year veteran in this league, we feel it’s best to give him his freedom to move forward. We have full respect for Josh as a player and a person.”
